He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Poulson and Georgia Poulson; his wife Janie Poulson; his daughter Laura Poulson; his grandson Fredrick Martinez; and his great grandchild Conner Simon.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Poulson, Jr., Lisa Haggard, Anita Poulson, Carmen Velez (Steve), Georgia Taylor (Bradley), Tracy Poulson (Diana), Lance Poulson and Shannon Poulson; and his grandchildren, Kevin Poulson, Sr., Amanda Mata, Forrest Keene, Laura Martinez, Julie Martinez, Zachary Taylor, Priscilla Simon, Valerie Keyser, Sam Ortiz and Mariah Ortiz. He is also survived by 29 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mason-Woodard Chapel (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mason Woodard Funeral Home (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801). A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Park Cemetery (801 S Baker Blvd, Carthage, MO 64836).
