She was predeceased by : her parents, Eduardo Mendez and Esther Briones Mendez; her siblings, Eddie Mendez and Esther Gonzales; her husband Grant Edwin Adami, Jr.; her son John George "Buster" Adami, Jr.; and her granddaughter Tamara Lynn Adami.

She is survived by : her daughter-in-law Sylvia (family: Tara); her grandson-in-law John G. "Trey" (Candace); her son Asa "Scott" (Laurel, family: Austin); her grandson Allan (Lindsey); her great grandchild Blake; her son Grant Edwin III (family: Micah); her grandchild Britt (Dan Snyder); her great grandchildren, Grant Edwin IV "Winn", Wyatt and Lea; her children, Ira "Ross", Ara "Randolph" (Katie, family: Justin, Ryan, Caroline) and Mia (Henry "Scott" Taylor, family: Alexandra, Grant); and also Robert (Allie).

In lieu of flowers, Elmira's family would welcome a contribution in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
