With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lydia G. Rangel of Freer, Texas, who passed away on March 7, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Adolfo "Chacho" Cantu Rangel; her parents, Horacio R. Garza and Juliana Flores Garza; and her siblings, Servando F. Garza Sr., Oscar F. Garza Sr., Horacio Armando F. Garza, Heberto "Beto" F. Garza, Delia G. Lopez, Diana G. Lichtenberger and Sylvia G. Serna.

She is survived by : her sons, Dr. Julio G. Rangel (Graciela) of Robstown, Texas, Richard G. Rangel (Belinda) of San Antonio, Texas and Robert G. Rangel (Patricia) of Freer, Texas; her sister Nancy Idalia G. Gonzalez; her grandchildren, Marcella Marie Serna (Roger), Erica Ann Chapa (David), Lydia Grace Vela (Robert), Aaron Richard Rangel (Tara), Jacob Joel Rangel, Leslie Ann Rangel, Chelsea Nicole Rangel (Rene Ramirez) and Allan Michael Rangel; and her great grandchildren, Alexandria Marie Serna and James Daniel Serna.
