It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Policarpio Vasquez Jr. of Freer, Texas, born in Oilton, Texas, who passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Policarpio Vasquez Sr. and Dora L. Vasquez; and his brothers, Arturo Vasquez (Adelina), Heberto Vasquez and Rodolfo Vasquez.
He is survived by : his wife Ofelia C. Vasquez; his children, Javier Rene Vasquez (Mary) of Normanna, Texas and Jessica R. Vastbinder (Greg) of Texas City, Texas; his grandchildren, Samuel Reyes of Houston, Matthew Reyes, Elizabeth Vasquez of Converse, Eryka Vasquez of Converse, Jonathan Silvas of League City and Victoria Vastbinder of Texas City; his great grandchild Nicholas Reyes; his siblings, Valdemar Vasquez (Elma) of Bruni, Manuel, Ricardo Vasquez (Laurentina) of Freer, Texas and Delia Beard; and his sisters-in-law, Elva Vasquez and Diana Vasquez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
