He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Mardis; his parents, D. A. Mardis and Virginia Mardis; his sisters, Regina Marshall and Marie Shipp; his daughter Linda Rognon; and his stepdaughter Joan McCabe (Gene).
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Jett and Lex; his son-in-law Michel Rognon; his grandchildren, Anouk Davis (Jason), Jett and Lex; his stepgranddaughters, Analisa Herrera (Augusto) and Cyndi Brown (Carl); his stepgreat-grandson Nicolas Hererra; and his friend Church. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Friendswood Friends Church (502 S Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, TX 77546). Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
