It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dellie Abner Mardis Jr. in Friendswood, Texas, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Mardis; his parents, D. A. Mardis and Virginia Mardis; his sisters, Regina Marshall and Marie Shipp; his daughter Linda Rognon; and his stepdaughter Joan McCabe (Gene).
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Jett and Lex; his son-in-law Michel Rognon; his grandchildren, Anouk Davis (Jason), Jett and Lex; his stepgranddaughters, Analisa Herrera (Augusto) and Cyndi Brown (Carl); his stepgreat-grandson Nicolas Hererra; and his friend Church. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Friendswood Friends Church (502 S Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, TX 77546). Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
