“Dr Zupp was my Strength of Materials Professor at Texas A&M University. I recall his class with great fondness and memories. Dr Zupp had a penchant for injecting stories from his work at Nasa but the most famous line he had in his Texas drawl was "There's only 2 real rules of Engineering; If it looks strong, it is strong and You can't Push a rope! I still tell his story today as a Director of Engineering for a deepwater drilling contractor 28 yrs later.”
