She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Bert and Marie McKee; and her sister Karen Kay McKee Davis of Lovington. She is survived by: her husband Joe D. Tongate of Friona; her children, Sydonia McDaniel of Lubbock, Texas, Vohnya Tongate (Kelly) of Shallowater, Texas and Kemal Tongate (Kari) of Anton, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Arianna Newman, Cole Pena, Ian McDaniel, Garrett Tongate, Guthrie Tongate, Ethan Tongate, Logan Tongate, Regan Tongate, Cade Tongate and Cierra Tongate.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Union Congregational Church (1601 Euclid Ave, Friona, TX 79035). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
