It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Claire Massey Johnston of Friona, Texas, born in Navasota, Texas, who passed away on May 1, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, C. I. Massey and Katie Massey; her brother Weyman Massey; her husband Jim; her former life partner John Goodner; and her daughter Dorothy.

She is survived by : her son Bryan (Allison) of Canyon, TX; her sister Ruth Stiles of Santa Fe, NM; and her children, Larry Johnston of Friona, TX and Diane (David) of Fairview, TX..
