He was predeceased by : his parents, Otto Lorenz and Dorothy Morisse Lorenz; and his niece Jane Sutherland. He is survived by : his sisters, Nancy Lorenz Sutherland and Alice Lorenz Ingram Wilcox; his children, Kimberly Carey (Steve), Alan Charles Lorenz (Amy) and Allison Ferriell (Eric); his stepdaughter Jennifer Mallett Emes (Doug); his grandsons, Ethan Carey, Bradley Carey, Oliver Lorenz, Douglas Emes III (Trey) and Connor Emes; his wife Elizabeth Dorn Lorenz (Betty); his grandchildren, Brad, Trey and Gracie Jo; his nieces, Leah Lorenz and Hannah Ingram; his nephew James Sutherland; and his pet Shadow.
