She was predeceased by: her parents, William L. Cooper and Ollie L. Cooper (Davenport); and her siblings, Norma Walker, Gernie, Garvin, Dan and Kent Cooper.
She is survived by: her significant other Billy J. Whitener; her sons, Jackie Whitener (Cindy) and Berkley Whitener (Cathy); her grandchildren, Hunter Whitener-Smith (Minh), Avery Zuniga (Noah), Eric Whitener, Colton Whitener, Anna Arvai (Scott) and Austin Whitener (Persephone); her great grandchildren, Ava, Beatrix, Olivia and Jude; her siblings, Mary Brock and Gordon Cooper; and her close friend Cecil Clark.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the McKinney Community Garden (communitygardenkitchen.org) or the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens (dallasarboretum.org), causes that were close to Ollie's heart.
