She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Bob" Johnson and Frances "Frankie" Johnson; and her sister Kathleen Lardie. She is survived by: her daughters, Monica MacKerron and Katie Shak (Chris Shelton); her grandchild Brinley MacKerron; and her siblings, Lindy Jones (Larry Bedard), Richard Johnson and Lynette Clark (Joe Clark).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Second Chance Pets in Barbara's honor.
