With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Nash Lera of Galveston, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Donald farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Donald is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlando Lera and Doris Evelyn Nash Lera. He is survived by: his friend Jimmy Hayley; his daughter Angela (Kyriakos "Kokos" Markides) of Galveston; his granddaughter Caroline Termini of Galveston; and his cousin Cecile Norman. He is also survived by extended family and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home (2128 Broadway Avenue J, Galveston, TX 77550). A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
