We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2023, at the age of 78, Eva Mae Newsom in Galveston, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her close friend Marvin Pearson; her parents, Ruth Barton and Dalta D. Dennis, Sr.; her siblings, Janie Gates, Faye Dennis and George Dennis; and her son Ricky Barton.

She is survived by : her siblings, Dalta D. Dennis, Jr., John Dennis, Luke Barton, James Barton and Nancy Barton; her son Wayne Barton; her grandchildren, Kathy Barton, Letisha Barton, Beau Barton, Sean Barton, Keith Barton, Kyle Ferrell and Renee Sturgill; her great grandchildren, Joel Honnoll, Gage Barton, Ayden Barton, Ricky James Barton, Alaina Ferrell, William Zinn and Brooklynn Sturgill; and her great great grandchild Amir Barton. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
