She was predeceased by: her parents, Gloria Mae Brown and David Reed Sr.; her grandparents, Almeda and Richard Brown; and her brother Alfred Miles Sr. (Linda Ada Love).
She is survived by: her children, Linda Reed, Frederick Reed (Tammy), Whitney Reed, Michael Reed (Laura), Darrell Reed (Marjorie) and Derrick Reed (Atarayah); her siblings, Inez Jones (John), Almeda Hendon (Elmo), Loretta Patton (Edward), David Reed (Paulette), Eugene Miles (Priscilla), Joseph Anthony Miles (Carolin) and James Miles (Andrea); her aunts, Eslen B. Love, Fannie Hightower (Edward) and Theresa Williams; her uncle Jesse Brown; her godsons, Marcus Hightower and Lionel Hightower Jr.; her daughter Brooke Jacobs; and her caregiver Rosa Ford. She is also survived by grandchildren, (25) great-grandchildren, and (1) great-great grandchild.
