It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gumaro Vargas of Galveston, Texas, born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on July 4, 2020, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Eliazar Vargas Reyes and Estella Cavazos Vargas; and his brother Eleazar. He is survived by : his children, Deyna Castillo (Lexer), Robert Castillo and Cristian Ontiveros; his grandchildren, Bella, Mia and Gabriel; and his siblings, Oscar Vargas (Alma), Rodolfo Vargas (Gloria), Yolanda Longoria, Silvia Alvarez (Ricardo) and Esther Porter (Carlton). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
