Jeanie Marie Doreck Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeanie Marie Doreck (Galveston, Texas), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Herbie Doreck; her parents, Joseph Royes and Clara Royes; and her brothers, Alvin Royes, Sr., J. Richard Royes (Richie) and Charles Royes.
She is survived by: her children, Bren Doreck (Kim) and Jenna Boatright (Cliff); her grandchildren, Kristana Hughes (Grant) and Joseph Doreck; her brothers, Albert Royes (Snunny) and John Royes; and her sisters-in-law, Marie Royes and Sue Royes. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (2415 Winnie St, Galveston, TX 77550). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2506 65th St, Galveston, TX 77551).
Memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church Galveston in honor of Jeanie's life and legacy.
