He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard J. Thiem Sr. and Dolly I. Thiem; and his sister Dr. Dolly I. Thiem. He is survived by: his wife Dodie; his children, Traci Hayes, Ronda King and James Stockton Sr.; and his grandchildren, Jasmine Zaro, James Stockton Jr., Josh Ahmed and Corey Hayes.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Malloy Funerals & Cremations (3028 Broadway Avenue J, Galveston, TX 77550). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (2415 Winnie St, Galveston, TX 77550). A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2506 65th St, Galveston, TX 77551).
