He was predeceased by : his mother Naomi Ruth Seigrist. He is survived by : his father Stanley Leroy Schafer Sr.; his sisters, Evelyn Lavern Gilland and Dianna Ruth Layfield; and his children, Joshua Ugene Schafer, Timothy Leroy Schafer and Krystal Nicole Schafer.

In lieu of plants and flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made towards the final expenses for Buddy.
