She was predeceased by: her parents, Everdine Conway and Ernest Conway; her brother William "Butch" Conway; her husband Gordon Pean, Jr.; and her friend Ray Short.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Pean and Gordon Pean, III; her granddaughters, Kathleen, Elizabeth and Lillian Pean; and her great grandchildren, Christopher, Maddison, Johanna, Matthew, Brantley, Bryleigh Crutchfield and Kenny "David" Bray.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Virginia's name to any hospice organization.
