Alice Marie McCollough Obituary

Alice Marie McCollough passed away peacefully and entered the Lord's kingdom on July 24th, 2023 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's and dementia.

Alice was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on January 4th, 1951 to her parents James Bolivar Barrett and Ordia Marie (Wilcutt) Barrett both of whom predeceased her. The family moved numerous times while Alice was growing up. Alice eventually settled in Garland, Texas where she met and wed her husband of 41 years James R. (Randy) McCollough. Alice and Randy have continued to live and raise their son Niel McCollough in the Garland / Dallas area ever since.

Alice is survived by her husband James R. McCollough and their son Niel McCollough. She is also survived by two brothers Jimmy Barrett and Bill Barrett, her sister Kay Faulkner, sister-in-law Lisa McCollough, niece Mallory Sims and her husband Jubal Sims, great-nephew Lucius Sims, aunt Helen Wilcutt, numerous cousins and friends, and last but not least her two beloved dogs Petrie and Patches.

No memorial service is planned at this time.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers any contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Methodist Children's Home.
