It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janie Tess Suter of Garland, Texas, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Shelton and Ruth Shelton; and her spouse Dr. Carr Moore Suter, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Carr Shelton Suter (Cheryl Lynne); her grandchild Kelsie Lynne Suter of Houston; her daughter Amy Ruth Claunch of Rockwall; her grandchildren, Jenna Tess Claunch Zarum (Asaf Zarum), James Austin Claunch (Gimena Gomez) and Jillian Carr Claunch; her great grandchildren, Mila Moore Zarum and Sophia Esther Zarum; and her caregiver Young.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (801 W Avenue D, Garland, TX 75040).
In lieu of flowers, Janie's family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Garland Friendship House or The Legacy Continues building fund.
