He is survived by: his children, Pamela Hurst of Tecumseh and Forrest Atkins of Garland; and his siblings, Rita Yepa (Kemp) of Jemez and David Atkins (Lola) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 2 great–grandchildren.
