He was predeceased by: his parents, James Caruana and Katherine Caruana (Sidote); his wife Dolores; and his siblings, Mary Manley, Frances Nesbitt and Louis Caruana Sr..
He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Jr. (Anne) of Elmira, NY and Patrick of Garland, TX; Teri Prewitt. He is also survived by niece who grew up in his parents.
