We announce the death of Kevin Dwayne Recer of Garland, Texas, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 62. Kevin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Ray Recer and Linda Gail Perry; his stepfather Jerry Perry; and his siblings, Lisa Recer Anderson and Brian Recer.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Tami Kirby; his children, Matthew Recer, Justin Recer, Brittany Recer and Sidney Recer; his stepsons, Cameron Kirby and Kennedy Kirby; and his sister Beverly Thompson (Tommy Thompson). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six nieces, and two nephews.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Williams Funeral Directors (1600 S Garland Ave, Garland, TX 75040). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
