She was predeceased by: her parents, Guillermo Vargas Macaya and Julia Duguid Vargas. She is survived by: her daughter Veronica Leatherwood (Kyle); her grandson Jeremy Leatherwood; her sister Sonia Vargas Duguid; her nephew Mauricio Sepulveda Vargas; her great-nephews, Gabriel and Benjamin; her sibling's children, Patricio Sepulveda and Andrea; and her great-nieces, Sofia, Laura and Sara. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Destiny Christian Center (330 Oaks Trail, Garland, TX 75043).
