She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Weldon "Sonkey" Dews; her daughter Linda Dews Yarbrough; her parents, Gus Minter and Lilla Esther Minter Wright; her siblings, Jimmy Minter, Gene Minter, Rayford "Al" Minter and Nell Castro; and her granddaughter Jessica Anne Ross.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Dews Ross (Randy) and Carlos Lee "Barney" Dews (Antonino "Nino" Colapinto); her grandchildren, Shelli Hogan Brooks (Jeff) and Randy Carl Ross; her great grandchildren, Logan Clark (Dylan) and Hannah Clark McBride (Taylor); and her great great grandchildren, Jessa and Levi McBride. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Garrison Funeral Home (886 US-59, Garrison, TX 75946). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
