With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carla Jo Spanihel of Gatesville, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on February 5, 2023 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edward and Joneva Phipps (Blanchard); her husband Anthony; and her children, Marcus Anthony Spanihel and Tiffany Marie Spanihel.

She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Lam (Dustin); her grandchildren, Joleen and Jemma Lam; her siblings, Johnny Phipps (Karla) and Elizabeth Hudnall (Charlie); and her siblings' children, Jackie Posey and Jennifer Upchurch. She is also survived by 5 great nieces and nephews.
