He was predeceased by : Gloria Kuhn. He is survived by : his parents, Columbus Swopes Sr. and Bessie Swopes (Graves); his wife Rebbeca Swopes (Kuhn); his children, Joziah Swopes and Gloria Swopes; his siblings, Malika Stone (Shaun), Cortez Swopes (Trenise) and Tina Swopes; his nieces and nephews, Trevante Swopes, Stormy Swopes, Cortez Swopes Jr., Gabby Swopes, De'Anthony Stone, Leila Stone and Bella Stone; and his parents-in-law, Gary and Marian Kuhn.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers friends/family instead make contributions to an account which was established for his children.
