He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Rape and Almeda Cole Rape; his spouse Melda Jean Ross; and his children, Debbie Thompson and Barry Thompson.
He is survived by: his son Gary Thompson (Judy); his grandchildren, Charlie Thompson, James Thompson, Steven Thompson and Jesse Diller; his great grandchildren, Brandi Thompson, Christian Thompson, Trinity Thompson, Heather Thompson and Max Thompson; and his great great grandchildren, Avery Stocks and Logan Stocks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Cedar Ridge Church of Christ, 104 Cedar Ridge Road, Gatesville, TX 76528.
