With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert Austin Bayer (Gatesville, Texas), who passed away on December 29, 2018 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandparents, Austin and Mildred Bayer; his foster parents, Dale Barkow and Bernice Barkow; his wife Karen Bayer; and his sons, Austin Bayer and Derrick Bayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the scholarship fund for the boys at First National Bank, 3411 E. Main Street in Gatesville.
