He is survived by : his children, Nicole Shonkwiler (Jeff) and Chad Shafer; his siblings, Sandra Johnson (Preston) and Bobby Shafer (Leslie); his grandchildren, Trey Shonkwiler, Brock Shonkwiler (Alaina), Jeffrey Shonkwiler (Ali), Adrienne Piedra (Austin Lerma), Brianna Shafer (Shawn Ferguson) and Cari Shafer; his great grandchild Tristan Ferguson; his grandsons, Waylon Shafer and Zachary Bilbrey; and his nieces and nephews, Machell Tompkins, Angie Mayes, Jade Shafer, Chuck Green, Heath Green, Rhenn Wright and Cole Shafer.
