He was predeceased by: his sister Patsy Hale Kay of Louise Qualls; his stepdaughter Bridgette Adkison; his grandson Brandon Ozell Townsend; and his nephew Michael. He is survived by: his wife Cleda Hale; his children, Deborah Kirkpatrick and Danny Hale; his granddaughter Christon Haydon Hill; his daughter Scott; his stepchildren, Brad Barton and Tammy Massingill; and his stepgrandchildren, Kayla Miller and Chancy Lay. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
