He is survived by: his wife Sheila Shavers; his children, Lescel Davis (Joseph), Brandon Shavers (Courtney Whitman), Cathy Parham (James), Cassandra Shavers, Jamia, Amber, Adrian, Joshua, Jacqueline Shavers (Mordecai), Leslie Shavers, Christa Shavers, Mari Brunson, Lisa, Briana, Jamaal, Jamarcus, Amanda Hinckley and Troy Barnes; his siblings, Delbert Beal, Alice Erves (Johnny), Cathy Hayes (Ken), Sherry Brown, Murlette Bonner (Charles) and Linda Beal; and his sister-in-law Brenda Manns.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
