The memory of Roy Edwin Holden of Gatesville, Texas, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 62, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy "Buck" Holden and Henrietta Key Holden. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mason; his children, Amanda Holden, Roy Holden, Jr. (Josee) and Charles Holden; his siblings, Loraine Watson (Gene) and David Holden of Gatesville; and his grandchildren, TJ, Wyatt, Ryan, Grayson and Keegan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scott's Funeral Home (2425 E Main St, Gatesville, TX 76528). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Restland Cemetery (2201 Waco St, Gatesville, TX 76528).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Scott's Funeral Home to assist with Roy's services, Amedisys Hospice, or the Gatesville Care Center.
