He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Enos Leroy Perkins and Lydia Opal Perkins (Woolly); his grandfather James Otis Woolly; his children, Regina Ann Perkins, James Leroy Perkins, Jr. (Mae) and Larry Adam Perkins (Phyllis); his grandchildren, Amos James Postell (AJ), Megan Perkins, Leanna Perkins and Preston Perkins; his aunt Minnie Lee Sisson; his cousin Robert Harris Perkins; his son-in-law Dennis Heathington; and his grandson Billy Ray Postell. He was also cherished by five great grandchildren.
