McCray of Georgetown, Texas, born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Lindsey and Samuel, Sr. Lindsey; her former husband Carl McCray; her siblings, Samuel Lindsey, Jr. and Edna Ervin; her daughter Pamela Easterling; and her grandson Mickael Easterling, Sr..
She is survived by: her husband James Easterling; her daughters, Gwendolyn Easterling, Danita Sanders (Carl) and Benita Flucker (Will); and her grandchildren, DeCarlos Easterling (Lynette), LaCresha Easterling, Charissa Townsend (Ken), Ian Easterling (April), Jason Jackson (Katie Rae), Lyndsay Bates (Charles), Steven Sanders, Richard Spight (Leah), Brandon Spight, Danita Darby, Kim Banogon (Kyle) and Micah Flucker. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Only a global pandemic that shuttered public institutions stopped her.
