As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mary Elizabeth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walden Burns and Hattie Bell Burns (Wilson); and her siblings, Martha Ann Burns and Bill Burns. She is survived by: her sisters, Violet Burns Bledsoe, Rose Burns Cox and Holly Burns Isbell; and her children, Donald L. Heflin Jr., Daniel W. Heflin, Tammy L. Rogers (Heflin) and Lillian A. Schoffner (Heflin). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
