He was predeceased by : his parents, Willie Koenning and Hermine "Minnie" Koenning (Mitschke); his siblings, Milton Koenning, Hugo Koenning, Larry Koenning and Rose Bernstein; his brothers-in-law, Paul Teinert, Elgin Kasper and Wernis Bernstein; and his daughter-in-law Christi Koenning.
He is survived by : his daughter Diana Lynn; his wife Elna Marie Koenning (Farrack); his children, Kenneth Koenning of Winchester and Stevens (Troy) of La Grange; his grandchildren, Justin Koenning (Rebekah) of Winchester, Austin Demny (Lindsay) of Athens, Jessica Demny (Raghu Thammineni) of Spicewood, Jacob Koenning (Ashley) of Rockport and Madelynn Stevens of College Station; his great grandchildren, Eliza Demny and Grant Demny; his sisters, Gladys Teinert of La Grange and Mildred Kasper of Winchester; his sister-in-law Audrey Koenning of Winchester; his caregiver Alijah Grant of La Grange; and his family, Brian Owens, Bekah Koenning, Hilary Wilson and Alijah Grant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Winchester, Hospice Brazos Valley in La Grange or to the charity of one's choice.
