He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Myron Earl and Eunice Pool Finney; his wife Betty Finney; his sons, Joe (Mick Finney) and John (Karen Finney); his sister Bobbie Baker; and his grandchildren, Laken Finney, Jarrett Finney and Cullen Finney.
He was past president of the Gilmer Country Club, Past President of the Chamber of Commerce, and a past board member of the Gilmer Industrial Foundation.
