He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dozier and Mary Dozier; and his siblings, Bill Earl, Edgar, Lafayette, Virgil, Lorena, Ovie, Ruth, Audie, Maudie and Louise.

He is survived by: his children, Lanona Ford, Ramona Darnell, Kelley Boden and Lewis Dozier Jr.; and his sister Geneva Sisco. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren & numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
