It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Orlando Chism of Gilmer, Texas, born in Gladewater, Texas, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Norman Chism; his grandparents, Onie, Ozell Hargest, Colia and Blancy Chism; and his aunt Mary Hargest Slaughter.

Chism; his siblings, Keisha Chism Bates and Gregory Wilson; his niece Zaneta Ray; his great-nephew Legend; and his aunts and uncles, Jewel Hargest, Ronald Slaughter (Pam), Charles Chism (Wanda), Warnetta Askew (Raymond), Billie Brown and Jerri Chism. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
