He is survived by: his wife Dr. Cherie Nazzal-Howell of Gilmer; his daughters, Dr. Diana Hobbs of New Orleans and Dr. Athena Hobbs of Memphis, TN; his sister Ines Rogg of Germany; his cousins, Tracey Howell, Randy Howell, Brian Howell, Sheila Ratcliff, Mark Howell, Ronnie Howell, Kerrie Melton, Mike Howell, Joel Howell, Mary Crawford, Raymond Stegall, Robin Owens, Charlotte Hopper, Michelle Cahal and Sherry Stegall Harrell; and his uncles, Jerry and Frank Howell.
