He was predeceased by : his sister Elizabeth Vorpahl McDonald. He is survived by : his daughter Kelly; his husband Brian Walters; his son Brad David Vorpahl; his grandchildren, Brandon Walters, Lana Walters, John Vorpahl, Zachary Walters, Blake Vorpahl, Caitlyn Walters, Collin Walters and Lauren Walters; his stepfather Robert Schwarzkopf; and his siblings, Janiece Schwarzkopf, Judy Moreno and Gary Schwarzkopf. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made in his memory to Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
