She was predeceased by : her parents, Irvin Julius (I. J.) and Margaret Stehle Hennig; her husband John Lamar Riggs; her son Robert Riggs; and her brothers, James Hennig and Eugene Hennig.

She is survived by : her son Randy Riggs; her grandchildren, Anna Brennan (Bob), Wanda Pounds (David), Laurie Smith (Joe), Michelle Brennan, Robert Brennan (Amy), Sarah Garza (Rick), Keren Myers (Ryan), Joel Riggs, Olivia Riggs and Kelly Smith; and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Natalie, Nathaniel Brennan, Ricky, Lamar Garza, Charlotte and Pierson Myers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Texas, St. John's Lutheran Church, or La Bahia Nursing Home.
