He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Juan Cantu Sr. and Olivia Martinez; his wife Dolores Salazar Cantu; his daughter Thelma Kay Cantu Loya (Joe); his grandparents, Manuel Martinez, Inez Martinez, Aurelio Cantu and Ricarda Cantu; his children, Ruben Oscar Cantu (Martha), Gil Albert Cantu (Kim), George Louis Cantu, Henry Rolando Cantu, Omar Cantu (Rachel) and Rubena Denise Cantu; and his siblings, Rafael Cantu, Juan Cantu Jr., Aurelio Cantu, Roberto Cantu, Sergio Cantu, Minerva Cantu, Elisenda Cantu, Yolanda Cantu, Laura Cantu, Connie Edison Perez and Eva Edison. He was also cherished by Many nieces and nephews, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
