She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Lairon Sr. (Alejandra Benavides) and Dora; her siblings, Josefa Longoria, Daniel Lairon Jr., Dionicio Lairon, Ramona Montes and Joe Fuentes; her son Lee Ornelas; and her great great grandchild Christopher Ornelas.
She is survived by: her children, Hope McHaney (David) of Seguin, Mary Amaya (Ruben) of Missouri City, Catherine Leal (Allen) of Georgetown, Doris Zambrano (Carney) of Gonzales, Veronica Cleveland (Johnathan) of Gonzales, Cinnamon Ornelas of Pflugerville, Texas, Lupe Ornelas of Gonzales, Jesse McDougal of Las Vegas, Leon Ornelas Jr. (Lillie) of Kansas, Leroy Ornelas (Chris) of Oklahoma and David Ornelas (Lydia) of San Antonio, Texas.; her close friend Donnirose Johnson; and her grandsons, Phil Leal, Allen McHaney, Jodie Amaya, Ron Romero, Joey Ornelas, Johnathan Granger, Eric Ornelas and Patrick Pierpont. She is also survived by grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seydler-Hill Funeral Home (906 St Paul St, Gonzales, TX 78629). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Seydler Hill Funeral Home (906 St Paul St, Gonzales, TX 78629). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. James Catholic Church (417 N College St, Gonzales, TX 78629).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the St. James Catholic Church Building Fund.
