It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jose Campos Jr. of Gonzales, Texas, born in Fentress, Texas, who passed away on February 28, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Campos and Alejandra Campos; and his brothers, Thomas and Pablo. He is survived by: his wife Domitila Campos; his children, Hermelinda Sanchez (Saul) of Gonzales, Elsa Guerrero (David) of Austin, Leticia Aguilar of Seguin, Delfino Aguilar (Irma) of Seguin, Jessie Campos of Gonzales and Alex Campos (Syria) of Gonzales; and his siblings, Martin Campos (Elpidia), David Campos (Virginia), Juan Campos (Sylvia), Pete Campos (Leticia), Daniel Campos (Anita), Manuel G. Campos, Ursula Garza, Petra Magallanez (Manuel), Margarita Sanchez, Linda Hernandez, Mary Cortinas (Anastacio), Victoria Mica (Harvey), Louisa Capello (Carlos), Cruz Mata (Arturo) and Marcelina Mica (John). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, church service and graveside burial rite. Those remotely symptomatic of COVID-19 are politely asked not to attend.
