With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jovita Gaitan Ramirez of Gonzales, Texas, born in San Diego, Texas, who passed away on February 17, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her stepfather Albert Orosco, Sr.; and her brother-in-law Donald Horton. She is survived by : her mother Tomasita Hernandez Gaitan; her husband Antonio Ramirez, Sr.; her children, Robyn Lea Ramirez (Jorge Zuniga), Antonio Ramirez, Jr. (Pattie) and Joey Lee Ramirez (Mindi); and her siblings, Gloria Horton, Rebecca Gaitan (Michael Gonzales), Lupe Gaitan, Kathy Orosco, Tracy Chavez (Paul), Dolly Bernal (Pete), Vincent Gaitan, Jr. (Mary), Ramiro Gaitan (Cynthia), Gilberto Gaitan (Sheila), Joseph Gaitan (Kristen), Trini Gaitan (Roxanne), Adam Orosco (Linda), Albert Orosco, Jr. (Mary Lou), Jose Villareal and Bernie Flores. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
