With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jane Whiddon of Gonzales, Texas, who passed away on August 7, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Nina Mae Freeman (Clifton Oliver) and Sam Robert Schrieber; her son Clayton Vance Whiddon; her sister-in-law Rae Ruddock (Upton); and her niece Sherry Allen.

She is survived by : her husband Kenneth Plowman Whiddon; her children, Jackie Lynn Williamson (Ronnie Zella) and Kenneth O'Dell; her daughter-in-law Tammy Whiddon; her daughter Kathy Sue; her son-in-law David Shelton; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Dolezal, Chris Ward Williamson (Akemi), Kelli Jane Urrutia (Albert), Jason Tot Whiddon (Kelly), Amanda Friedrich (Chad), Christy Diamond, Laurel Ethel Bach, Holly Nicole Barnhart (Rob), Joshua David Shelton (Heather), James Clayton Shelton and Lesli Michelle Shelton; her great grandchildren, Kimberly Dolezal, Mei Lynn Williamson, Lion Williamson, Hina Jane Williamson, Ema Sue Williamson, Harua Williamson, Andrew Urrutia, Allison Urrutia, Thomas Barnick, Mattie Jane Barnick, Chelsea Whiddon, Jessica Whiddon, Grace Frederick, Brynlee Frederick, Lainey Bach, Lilah Bach, Jackson Barnhart, Everly Barnhart, Barrett Shelton, Tawni Shelton, Marli Shelton, Kenneth Robert Shelton, River Van Kirk and Tucker Van Kirk; her sister Linda; her brother-in-law Donnie Mills; and her caregivers, Nora Matias and Virginia Ramirez. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
